Dr. Dorothy Porter Wesley once said;” Had it not been for these men and a few women, hundreds of volumes needed today for research would not be in major collections. Somewhere, there should be a Hall of Fame for these incurable “bibliomanicas.” 

The Information Professionals Group of ASALH seeks to celebrate and acknowledge those of our past who sought to build collections because of their great love for books and collecting. We want to bring to light this wonderful heritage that we so proudly hold and connect to in order to preserve it as our heritage and community. We hear by build and announce the “Virtual Wall of Fame “to celebrate these great men and women of our profession. A collector will be listed on the Virtual Wall if he or she exemplifies those common attributes as we have stated above.
